History

View and restore previous values of a variable.

What is variable history?

Every time a variable's value changes, Flowtag records a history entry containing the previous value, the time of the change, and (for json variables) the schema at that point.

History lets you:

  • Audit who changed a variable and when.
  • Inspect the exact value at any point in the past.
  • Roll back to a previous value with one click.

Viewing history

Open a variable in the Dashboard and click the History tab. Entries are listed newest-first, 10 per page. Each entry shows:

  • Timestamp — when the value was changed.
  • Value — the value at that point (expandable).
  • Schema — the JSON schema at that point (for json variables).

Restoring a value

  1. Find the history entry you want to restore.
  2. Click Restore on that entry.
  3. Confirm the action.

Restoring creates a new history entry rather than rewriting history, so the rollback itself is auditable.
